Job Title: IT Analyst

Department: Information Technology (IT) / Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Reports To: IT Project Manager or Director of IT Integration

Job Summary:

The IT Analyst plays a critical role in supporting IT systems integration, data analysis, and the optimization of technology processes during M&A activities. This position requires a strong analytical skillset and the ability to assess and recommend IT solutions that align with business objectives. The IT Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that IT operations are seamlessly integrated and optimized post-acquisition, driving efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Integration Support: Assist in the assessment, configuration, and integration of IT systems from acquired entities, ensuring compatibility and alignment with the existing infrastructure.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret IT and operational data to identify trends, integration needs, and optimization opportunities, providing insights to support decision-making.

  • Solution Evaluation & Recommendations: Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate IT solutions, propose improvements, and recommend technology adjustments to meet business objectives.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations within the integrated environment.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with departments such as Operations, Finance, and HR to understand their integration needs and ensure that IT solutions meet cross-functional requirements.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create detailed documentation on IT systems, processes, and configurations, facilitating knowledge transfer and smooth transitions for ongoing support.

  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Provide support for IT issues that arise during integration, working to resolve technical challenges to minimize disruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in IT analysis, systems integration, or related roles, with exposure to M&A activities preferred.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization tools).

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications, along with basic networking and cybersecurity principles.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
